The work explores themes of identity, sexuality and rebirth: through the unravelling of social ideologies and personal narratives. Video and sound have been the main mediums through which these themes are explored and channelled. Movement and performance are new elements that are continually being investigated and integrated into the practice.

about the artist
Èanna Heavey is a recent fine art graduate of Crawford College of Art and Design. He is currently residing in Cork and continues to make work through the mediums of video, sound and painting. Èanna explores the themes of identity, sexuality and rebirth: through the unravelling of social ideologies and personal narratives. Movement and nature would be important elements for Èanna both personally and artistically. Influences would include artists such as Maya Deren, Joseph Beuys, Kenneth Anger, Ryan Trecartin and Laura Provost.
