Killian O’Dwyer and Cillian Moynihan (Switchboard)
Killian O’ Dwyer is an artist originally from Arkansas U.S.A. currently living and working in Cork, Ireland. He received a B.A. (Hons) in Fine Art from Crawford College of Fine Art & Design in 2015. He was also the recipient of the undergraduate academic thesis award, a graduate residency award with Backwater Artists Group and The CIT Emerging Artist Award including a travel grant for the 56th Venice Biennale. Currently, O’ Dwyer is the printex co-ordinator for Sample-Studios with the task of encouraging and assisting studio members in printmaking processes. He is also a co-collaborator of a creative partnership Switchboard with artist Cillian Moynihan, a platform for visual awareness and exhibition making within Cork City and further afield. O' Dwyer has been recently named as a programme curator for Cork Printmakers’ projects in association with Cork Midsummer Festival for 2017 and is currently focusing on a private commission for the Glucksman gallery and the U.C.C. Art Collection. O’ Dwyer has recently exhibited for The Digital Gaze; Platform Arts Belfast (2016), PRESENT; the Centre for Contemporary Printmaking, U.S.A. (2016) and ENGAGE, Bandon Arts Festival (2016).
