Hazel Ramsay graduated with an Honours Degree in Fine Art from Crawford College of Art and Design in 2015. Since then she has continued to develop her practice as a multi-disciplinary artist, with a focus on appropriation, sculpture and community arts.
“I am currently working on a commission for a community mural with the Kerry Mental Health Association. I also work as a facilitator for the ongoing city-wide exhibition in association with Crawford Art Gallery and Cork Institute of Technology - Perceptions: the Art ofCitizenship. This includes invigilating, giving workshops, guided tours and marketing the events. In July this year I received an internship at the Lewis Glucksman Gallery, University College Cork, for their exhibition I Went to the Woods.
I was selected to exhibit at the Sarah Walker Gallery Summer Show, based in Castletownbeare, Co. Cork. I have aso shown work at the Solas Art Gallery in Co. Leitrim, and Le Dame, London, UK. I was also awarded a solo exhibition at Alliance Francaise Gallery, Cork.”
