Arran Towers has been performing around Ireland and the UK since 2001. Having trained at Belfast Circus School for eight months, as well as long trips to India to learn puppetry and magic. Over the years Arran devised a variety of performances and adapts his work to diverse audiences, settings, groups and budgets i.e. non-profits and charities.
Two mottos I might suggest I follow is aiming to connect through creativity and to promote learning through laughter. The last 12 months saw the ending of a long term working partnership and the starting of new enterprises. So the birth of the 'Tallest Smallest Theatre' aiming to create experiential family theatre for diverse settings: schools. libraries and the street. We created the show 'Meeting Robert' with funding from the Cork County Arts Office and were commissioned by Waterford libraries to become the beloved BFG to mark the centenary of Roald Dahl's birth.
Both creations are presently touring schools and libraries as part of October's Book Festival. Other performances and issue based theatre workshops are visiting schools in collaboration with Trocaire, Green Schools and Irish Aid.
